About us

Randonneurs Ontario is an ultra-distance cycling club. We've been riding long distance rides from of Toronto and southern Ontario since 1982.

Randonneurs Ontario is affiliated with the Audax Club Parisien, the parent organization governing the qualification of riders wishing to participate in the 1200K Paris - Brest - Paris Randonnee. The club is also affiliated with Les Randonneurs Mondiaux, which provides recognition for brevets other than Paris - Brest - Paris that are longer than 1000K.

Riding Among Us: Remembering Allan Jackson

There are moments in any sport that remind us how precious — and fragile — life is. For our randonneuring community, the passing of Allan Jackson is one such moment. Peter Leiss recently shared a Toronto Star story about Allan. He was a fellow cyclist, someone that Peggy and Peter had the pleasure of riding with. Tragically, Allan passed away while riding to see his doctor. Earlier that day, he had been shoveling snow and felt unwell; on his way to the appointment, he apparently suffered a heart attack.
