About the ride

Escape into the sweeping landscape of Southwestern Ontario with a classic route built specifically for the local randonneuring calendar. Starting from the Best Western Stoneridge Inn on the southern outskirts of London, you'll roll through town and enjoy a scenic urban passage before breaking past the city limits into the quiet, secondary roads of the interior.

The northward trek guides you across long, rhythmic stretches of fertile Middlesex and Huron county farmland, drawing you steadily toward the Huron coast. On your way north, the route brings you directly through the vibrant commercial core of Exeter, your key northward control point offering easy access to quick, efficient roadside refueling.

Your ultimate destination is the coastal turnaround: Goderich. Long celebrated as the Prettiest Town in Canada, Goderich rewards riders with a spectacular vantage over the blue expanses of Lake Huron, beautiful parklands, and its famous, historic radial downtown centered directly on Courthouse Park.

The southward journey down the coast opens up dramatic lakeside air before heading back inland. While the interior path between Goderich and Lucan features expansive spaces, the route is optimized with excellent planned resupply points in the lakeside gem of Bayfield, the heritage hum of Zurich, and the quiet crossroads of Huron Park. You'll complete your final formal check-in at the historic village of Lucan, leaving you with a smooth, well-earned final leg to close the loop back at the Stoneridge Inn.
