About the ride

The Manitoulin Bay to Bay 200 offers a spectacular, self-contained loop showcasing the distinct maritime character and pastoral interior of western and central Manitoulin Island. Winding along quiet secondary highways and hard-packed rural backroads, the route serves up a masterclass in classic northern endurance riding.

Departing from the craft hub of Split Rail Brewery in Gore Bay, riders cross onto the peaceful expanse of Barrie Island via its narrow causeway, tracking towards a scenic photo control at the local mailbox landmark. From there, the path heads south into the island's agricultural heartland, rolling through the quiet hamlets of Evansville and onward to the furthest western outpost at Silver Water.

The return leg provides expansive cross-island views as you track east along the southern interior toward the historic Manitoulin Cenotaph near Mindemoya. Strategically placed convenience stops and a Gas Station / LCBO checkpoint on the back half ensure reliable logistical support before finishing back on the north shore.
